Laura Erlich,
MTOM, L.Ac

Laura Erlich co-founded LA Herbs and Acupuncture in 2007. Her areas of specialty include women's health, fertility enhancement (with or without ART), conscious conception, prenatal and post-partum care, gynecological disorders and menopause. She has studied under many notable professionals in the field of Oriental reproductive medicine, and spent a full year of her clinical internship under the supervision of Dr. Ray Rubio, LAc, DAOM, FABORM, President of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine.

Prior to becoming an acupuncturist and herbalist, Laura practiced as a pre and post natal massage therapist and childbirth doula. Since 1998, Laura has worked with hundreds of expectant and birthing families. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University, a degree in Swedish, Shiatsu and Medical Deep Tissue massage from the Swedish Institute in New York City, and a Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Emperor's College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006. Her doula training led her to certification through Doula's of North America in 1999, along with advanced training in prenatal, postnatal and labor massage from Niara Childbirth services. In addition to her private practice, Laura continues to attend births, whether as a labor acupuncturist, doula or midwife's assistant.

Also a co-founder of the Fertility Counseling Center of Los Angeles (fccofla.com), Laura co-leads support groups for women experiencing infertility, based on the Harvard Mind/Body School approach. Laura is dedicated to providing her patients with clear options and education, so that they may find their own path to health and wellbeing.

Trace Albrecht,
L.Ac

LA Herbs & Acupuncture co-founder, Trace Albrecht specializes in treating pain conditions, auto-immune conditions, cancer treatment support, and menopausal/peri-menopausal conditions. Trace graduated summa cum laude from Emperor's College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, where her training included orthopedic medicine and internal medicine.

She has nearly twenty years of experience in working with body/mind medicine as a massage therapist, cranio-sacral therapist, yoga instructor and licensed acupuncturist. Trace and her partners at LAHA have developed a rigorous and fascinating continuing education curriculum for licensed acupuncturists. Trace's goals include the pursuit of research in acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbal medicine, and the merging of genomic science with Traditional Oriental Medicine.

Yvonne Farrell

Dr. Farrell has been involved in helping others to restore balance in their lives for 24 years. In 1996, she graduated from Emperor’s College with a Master’s in Chinese Medicine. She has been in private practice since 1997. She was a member of the faculty at Emperor’s College for 13 years. In addition to her faculty duties at Emperor’s, Yvonne was also a clinical supervisor.

Specializing in the use of the Secondary Vessels in treatment, Yvonne has been teaching channel theory to students for many years.  She has developed proficiency with these systems because she feels they are very effective in the treatment of psycho-emotional and psycho-spiritual disorders.

Yvonne directs her teaching towards the empowerment of students with the hope that they will embody the spiritual aspects of Chinese Medicine and make them their own. She believes that self-cultivation & self-knowledge are essential in developing capacity as a practitioner of Chinese Medicine.  To that end, she has also been on the leadership teams of many spiritual retreats and self-empowerment workshops. 

In addition to teaching in the master’s programs of two schools, Dr. Farrell has been teaching CEU courses for several years.  Her courses are lively¸ informative and clinically relevant.  She is very passionate about the medicine and that is apparent in her teaching.

Yvonne received her doctoral degree (DAOM) from Emperor’s College in 2007.  In 2009-2010 Yvonne was the Director of a team that was responsible for getting Yo San University’s first DAOM program up and running.

Although she has a general practice, her specialties include the treatment of psycho-emotional disorders or stress induced illness.
